Persian Princess
Digital art and mixed media
Persian Princess explores the enduring relationship between the Iranian woman and the land she carries within her. Inspired by the visual language of the Achaemenid era, it reinterprets ancient Persian dress, ornament, symbolism and Old Persian cuneiform through a contemporary lens. The inscription on her forehead evokes Iran and the Persian woman, a symbolic merging of identity, memory and homeland. Woven into the imagery is a line of Rumi that turns belonging into something intimate and eternal. The work moves between history and the present, between a woman and her homeland: she is both keeper of Iran's memory and a continuation of its ancient spirit.
